Diagnosis and treatment of blood diseases such as anaemia, chronic and acute leukemias, disorders of blood clotting (coagulation) and the immune system. Diagnosis and medicinal therapy of malignant diseases of the gastro intestinal tract (digestive tract), lungs and respiratory tract, gynaecological and urological tumours and tumours of the lymphatic system.
Haematology is the field of medicine concerning blood diseases. We diagnose and treat alterations in blood corpuscles and their functions, disorders in blood clotting and disorders of the immune system. Basically, these are various kinds of anaemia, chronic and/or acute leukemias as well as diseases of the lymphatic system.
Oncology is the specialised area of medicine concerning malignant diseases of the human body (cancer).
Diagnosis of the disease, prevention and administration of medication are the duties of an oncological specialist. Depending on the disease, different methods of treatment such as chemo, hormone or immune therapies are applied in the form of tablets or infusions.
